Bots Overview & Bot Creation
Overview
The Bots module allows users to manage and organize their AI chatbots in CX Genie. Each bot acts as a virtual assistant that can be trained, configured, and deployed to handle different user scenarios, such as customer support, lead generation, or onboarding.
This document covers the bot dashboard, view options, and how to create a new bot.
Steps to Use
1. Access the Bots Dashboard
Go to the Bots tab in the left sidebar. You’ll see all available bots displayed as cards (default grid view). Each card shows:
Bot avatar and name
Last updated time
Settings icon (⚙️) to edit
Trash icon (🗑️) to delete
2. Switch Between Grid and List Views
In the top-right corner, you can toggle between:
Grid view (🔲 icon): shows bots as cards with images
List view (☰ icon): shows bots in a vertical list format Choose your preferred layout. This only affects your current view.
3. Click “Create bot.”
Use the “+ Create bot” button to open the bot creation popup.
4. Fill in Bot Details
On the left:
Bot’s Name (required, max 50 characters)
Greeting message (optional, max 250 characters)
Avatar: select from available character options
5. Choose a Template
On the right:
Choose from available templates
Select Blank to start from scratch
6. Click “Create new bot.”
Once created, the system redirects you to the bot’s workspace for further configuration.
Example / Use Case
A business wants a bot called OrderHelper to assist customers with order tracking. The admin creates the bot from the Bots page, adds a name and greeting, selects a fun avatar, and chooses the Blank template. After creation, they proceed to add training data and workflows.
Notes
You can create multiple bots with different functions (depending on your packages)
View preference (grid/list) is saved per user.
