Connect E-commerce Store

Overview

The Connect E-commerce Store feature allows you to link your CX Genie bot directly with your online store platforms, such as Shopify or WooCommerce. This integration lets the bot access your product catalog, pricing, stock status, and detailed product information in real-time to answer customer inquiries accurately.

Steps to Use

  1. Access the Connect E-commerce Store tab

    Navigate to the Training Data section and select the Connect E-commerce Store tab.

  2. View connected stores

    • You will see a list of connected e-commerce stores with columns for Store name, Source platform (Shopify or WooCommerce), and Actions.

    • Use the Trash icon to remove a store connection.

  3. Add a new store connection

    • Click the Connect Store button to open the connection form.

    • Select the e-commerce platform you want to connect: Shopify Store or WooCommerce.

  4. Connect Shopify Store

    • Enter your Shopify store’s Access token and Store permanent link (e.g., shop.myshopify.com).

    • Click Connect to link your Shopify store to the bot.

  5. Connect WooCommerce Store

    • Enter the WooCommerce store’s Consumer key, Consumer secret, and Store permanent link (e.g., mydomain.com).

    • Click Connect to establish the connection.

  6. View store details and products

    • Click on a connected store’s name to open its details panel.

    • See the list of products with their names, prices, and stock availability.

    • Use the search box to find specific products by name.

  7. View product details

    • Click on a product in the list to see detailed information, including product images, price, stock count, product description, and a direct link to the product page.

    • This detailed information enables the bot to provide rich and accurate responses about your products.

  8. Remove a store connection

    • Within the store details panel, click the Remove store button to disconnect and delete the store from your bot integration.

Example / Use Case

Suppose you run an online shop on Shopify. By connecting your store, your CX Genie bot can instantly provide customers with real-time product availability, pricing details, and descriptions without manual input. When a customer asks about a product or its stock status, the bot fetches live data from your store and delivers accurate responses, improving customer experience and sales support.

Notes

  • Only one e-commerce store connection is allowed per bot at a time.

  • Ensure you have the required credentials (access token for Shopify, consumer key, and secret for WooCommerce) before attempting to connect.

  • Product information is updated in real-time upon syncing; ensure your store data is up to date for accurate bot responses.

  • Removing a store connection deletes the link and data from your bot’s knowledge base.

  • If you switch platforms, remove the existing store connection before adding a new one.
